Beginners start out watching the Beginner videos while more Intermediate or Advanced students can start out watching videos for their appropriate skill levels. All videos will be available on the Member’s Page. New videos will be posted regularly, as well as the option to switch to a different style of dance if preferred. Questions are encouraged and can be asked via email, Facebook, or Twitter. How long before I can dance in public? The moment you are done with the first lesson, you can go out and show off your skills. Public dancing is not only beneficial, but vital in your success as a student. Practicing with other people in a social environment is the only way you can get comfortable and confident in your own dance abilities. How much is the program going to cost me?Only $24.99 a month and includes all videos for Salsa and upcoming videos of Bachata, and Cha Cha Chá. Our videos are presented in detail, yet in an easy-to-understand manner that anyone can follow. Most dance studios charge $25-30 per WEEK in tuition, mounting to $100-120 per month. Our program costs a fraction of that amount and offers unrivaled benefits. Do I need a dance partner? There will be videos that can be done individually but for the majority of the videos a partner is suggested. Can be a friend, family member, anyone you choose. Do I need dance experience in order to join?Absolutely not! Anyone and everyone can join, regardless of skill level. We have beginner videos for every style of dance we teach, all explained in thorough and comprehensive detail. Of course, if you do have previous dance knowledge, we have videos for your skill level that will challenge you and help you progress into a better dancer. What is Latin Dance? Where did it come from?Latin Dance is the collection of dances originating from Latin America and the Caribbean; such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and a whole lot more. The styles we specialize in share strong Afro-Caribbean roots. Do I need to be athletic to learn Latin Dance? It is not necessary to be athletic when you start our program but a fortunate side-effect is that you will be! We highly recommend our program for people who may not necessarily enjoy going to the gym or doing tedious cardio work-outs. Dancing is one of the best ways to not only get in shape but boost confidence as well. Besides, nothing beats dancing for hours straight and still feeling like you haven’t danced enough! How long do I need to practice before I can move onto the next skill level?Practice will be at your leisure. The student themselves will ultimately determine whether or not they are ready to move on. Mastering all the lessons we teach is the only way to guarantee success when progressing through the skill levels. All students have the option to regress at any time and review any previous videos to help them in understanding more challenging material. Do I need to listen to Latin Music all the time?Although it’s not required, it is valuable. Becoming aware of the various structures present in Latin Music will help you with staying on-beat and quickly progress your dance skills. |
